The idea of a wall gives us an end to all things in life,
big or small. However, the idea that there is no wall and life is eternal is unfathomable.
The “direct” people move forward without paying attention to the other aspects
of life. The narrator separates himself from the “direct” because he overanalyzes
every aspect of life and doesn’t let anything slip between his fingers. The
narrator may be criticizing the direct, but I
can guarantee there are times where he feels envious of there inability
to see both sides or more to an idea. I also thought the discussion we had on
religion was extremely interesting, especially since I’m at a phase in my life
where I am trying to decide which religion, if any, I want to be apart of.
