There really are no answers to anything in life. Just because
we’ve been told that 3 and 4 makes 7, doesn’t mean it actually does. Some
people accept evolution because it is more logical than religion, but then
again they are also being told an unreliable story. Every idea is simply a
theory. Similar to the difficulty of understanding infinity, I also find it
challenging to accept the idea that math is NOT provable. To me, it makes so
much sense that when you put two and two together it makes four, period, end of
story. However, Dostoyevsky explains that even something so logical like math
is not completely provable. Nothing in life is answerable, and that is painful
to imagine.
