Free Choice

From what I understood from today’s discussion, we sometimes don’t act in our own advantage because of free choice.  We want to do something because it is our choice and not someone else’s.  Our parents may tell us to do something but we may not want to do it because we want it to be our choice what we do with our lives.  This shows us that we are in control of our own lives.  I think someone might drive really fast even if it is not safe just to test the control of their life.  When driving really fast, you are the only one in control of your life.  For example, jumping off a cliff is scary and maybe not safe.  However, in Costa Rica, I jumped a huge cliff.  I was so scared beforehand and did not want to do it but after I finally jumped it was so much fun.  It was such an adrenaline rush that after you do it you feel so relaxed and it is such an amazing feeling.
