The Journey

I agree that many people don’t like the end of things because you have worked your whole life and then it just ends.  It is scary when what you have worked for forever is finally achieved.  It is what you have worked on your whole life, so what happens when it’s done?  When you finally reach your goal it is the end and you have to start something new.  This is why many people like the journey more than the destination.  Dostoyevsky states this by saying people, “love the process of the game, not the end of it,” (page 23).
I also found the discussion on road trips interesting.  Some people like the adventure of turning off the main road and finding a new way to get somewhere because it gives them a thrill.  However, I would never do this because I like getting where I am going fast.  I hate car rides and I want to spend the least amount of time possible in them.
