       I must admit that I still do no completely understand the paragraph as a whole and am extremely grateful that I was not chosen to talk today, that being said I can discuss what I think I understood from today's paragraph. It seems that, as he has already mentioned, the narrator as an extreme distrust of religion. This had been decided within the class, this paragraph simply brought home the idea through some highly sarcastic remarks about the dreams of people's natural instincts being good. What was a new addition to this paragraph was the idea that Darwin's theory of evolution is also unworthy of the narrators thoughts because it suggests that beings always act in their self interest when humans, in fact, do not.
