Watch & Observe (Zane Mandell)

At some point in everyone’s life they must sit by as they are powerless in the situation. But when looking at the bigger picture, like the narrator, what power do we really have in the grand scheme of things? In fact is there even a grand scheme? If ask themselves these questions repeatedly and with deep thought then they realize how puny and insignificant they really are. The man who speaks to us from his corner is the emphasis of this idea in a single man. He understand that the concept of revenge has no real value, cause in the end what is it worth, and more importantly to a character in this mindset, it is impossible to do anything in the first place. So he just sits and lets the world go by, not in bliss but in pain. To know that you cannot know, is the beginning. Asking oneself what knowledge is for is a powerful byproduct of this initial realization.
