The Flaw in Creationism

Creationism versus scientific thought and reason. I believe the debate would have been much more interesting and insightful if in fact Ham offered intellectual thought and reason. Rather, he decided to quote material on his website instead of satisfying Bill Nye’s cries for him to make the debate about logic rather than personal thought and belief. Furthermore, it was apparent that Nye and the scientific community that he was representing is open to expanding scientific logic and reason if fact can be given; however, on the other hand Ham blatantly disregarded scientific fact that has been tested multiple times throughout the centuries. But what I believe to be Nye’s most influential claim is his comparison of the bible’s text to the game of telephone. It is true that people are inherently flawed and will manipulate truths in order to advance in this world. Although not talking as eloquently as Ham, Nye’s point that the bible is flawed because of its multiple translations throughout the past thirty centuries makes perfect sense to me. Also, his point that not even all Christians who believe in Christ agree with Ham was quite strategical. Are they all doomed with the rest of us who might not believe in Jesus Christ? Unfortunately, we were unable to hear Ham’s response to this question, but all in all, I believe Nye blew Ham out of the water.
