Wary Reading

It is difficult to read a story where you cannot trust the only outlet of information given to you. You could say I have trust issues, which is most likely the reason for my bias towards third person narration, where I am able to focus on the matter at hand rather than juggling potentially false information like hot coals. From what I can gather so far, I am aware that this "sick, spiteful, unattractive man" shows no care for the reader of these notes, and whilst attempting to predict my own reactions to his ramblings (which are, for the most part, inaccurate), he aims to confuse, mislead, and perhaps toy with the reader, all for spite.

But I must admit, his topics are not uninteresting. He is a self-proclaimed clever man who wishes to be an "insect", which I can only assume means he wishes to be one of the masses, a "normal" man, a "stupid" man; I believe he wishes to escape his overactive mental state, so this could hint that he has a higher intellectual level than most, but I have yet to see proof of it.
