I’m starting to understand the
narrator’s thought process more and more as I keep reading. He rambles on because he is just writing down
whatever comes to mind. In class, we
talked about it and at first I was annoyed with how he wrote but then I thought
about it. If I were to write down
whatever thoughts popped into my head, it would be messed up and confusing just
like this. This is because one thought
leads to another and then to another.
One part that I want to focus on
during the reading tonight is the “most advantageous advantage,” (page
17). When the narrator first brought
this up I was confused. I did not
understand what he meant by there being an advantage that will make people break
the laws of reason to attain it.
However, when he said one’s free unfettered choice,” (page 17), it all
clicked. I understand that people want
that free choice to do what they want to do and not what others tell them they
have to do. They may go against the laws
of reason/nature to show that they have this choice to do what they want.
