Like Pedro said, I too am beginning to relate to the Underground man a little too much. In fact, it is a little scary how much sense he actually makes. The ideas and theories this man has are interesting and continue to peak my curiosity as to how the book is going to end. I find myself liking the diary-like writing style that Dostoyevsky employed in this particular piece of literature. The book itself is very relatable and believable. His seemingly ever present paranoia is odd but it fits his character and what he is saying perfectly. Also, his cynicism and, what I believe to be sadism rather than masochism, is a breath of fresh air (as strange as that seems) because a lot of books and narrators are falsely happy. I like the realism of Notes From the Underground and how accurately it depicts the human stream of consciousness.
