Notes form the Underground Part 3

During the period in which Dostoyevsky was writing this novel a lot of Feud’s ideas and works were also becoming present, which is why I think it is logical to believe that Notes From the Underground is Dostoyevsky’s response to Freud’s claims on how humanity functions. A lot of what Feud claims is that we act according to already predetermined experiences. Sometimes I feel like there are statistics everywhere and about everything and according to statistics I should all ready know how my life is going to turn out. This is all very conflicting considering that I was raised being told that the future is full of possibility and that only I could determine how my life was going to pan out.  I think that Dostoyevsky was going through the same crisis of whether or nor free will actually existed which would explain why his is constantly contradicting himself.
