Concept of Love (Carlye Nealon)

As I read more of Part two, I learn more about the narrator’s life.  His backstory helps me understand some of his thoughts that were presented in the first part of the book.  I found this line that the narrator said interesting, “I will love him so, I will make so much of him afterwards, that it’s not sin to torment him a little now,” (page 67).  I don’t know if I agree with this completely because after a couple has a fight, I don’t know if it goes completely back to normal.  However, I do agree that sometimes after a fight things get better because you feel better than the way you did before the fight.  I also agree that everyone has their honeymoon phase and although many people may think they don’t love each other as much when it passes, they do.  In reality, they have “a love that is better still” (page 67) and deeper than it was before.  I decided to focus on the concept of love during this blog because the narrator seemed to bring it up a lot, which showed that it means a lot to him even if he says it may not.
