I further believe that the narrator is a genius and not an
idiot. This dinner incidents prove this. He is very smart and developed, but
cannot act correctly in a social situation. This relates to the lecture we had
about IQ. He honestly has no idea ho to act, but does realize that he is
sensitive. He keeps pacing, and challenges someone to a duel. This may be due
to his drunken state, but I believe that it shows his true personality. He
wants to make peace, just does not know how t. This could reflect in all the
stories he tells us about his life. I again tend to feel bad for hi, because I am
beginning to understand him more, even though the novel is very difficult to
read, and get frustrated that others do not understand him. I guess I would
have been frustrated with myself at the beginning on the novel when I did not
understand him at all.
