Dostoyevsky...

I really like what Dostoyevsky has to say. Everything he says is everything I am thinking and so on. I have said this in my previous blogs. But, I finally realize what is kind of turning me away from the book now. What is turning me away is the way he addresses the reader. I understand that it is kind of obnoxious for me to be annoyed at this, but the fact that he refers to the reader as “gentlemen” upsets me. I am not a man! I am a woman. Yes, I do get that only men would be reading this at the time that it was published, but it is just really annoying. Also, every time he talks about something interesting, he stops talking about it. He stops talking about because he knows the reader is interested. Dostoyevsky why do you have to be so mean and annoying?
