After reading the seemingly rambling thoughts of the Underground man in the first part and the interesting little story he so desperately needed to write down in the second part, I have decided  that I ended up liking this book after all. There were a few pages in the first part that I really did not enjoy reading all too much but that was because I did not fully grasp the meaning behind the words at first. This book is dense and requires paying attention to the details and truly analyzing the content.  It is quite the love/hate relationship. Dostoyevsky has the uncanny ability to make his words come to life. Everything he says and writes I can picture perfectly...I really do love his writing style and diction. A Propos of the Wet Snow was an interesting story of an incident in the Underground man's life that happened when he was 24 years old, yet I do not know whether I prefered the first part or the second part of the novel. In regards to the story he told, I can only imagine that, since he is much older (and wiser now), he is properly able to recount hid story and reflect upon his past, something only an intelligent man can do.
